During the summer of 2001 a few members of the Lethbridge Police Service began planning the First Annual Lethbridge Police Hockey Tournament.  The tournament was scheduled to take place in February 2002.  The tournament began with a 6 team format in 2002; 8 team format in 2003 and 2004; and a 12 team format in 2005, 2006 and 2007.  In 2008 we will return to an 8 team format.  Teams from Alberta, Saskatchewan and the USA make their way every year to play some hockey with each other.
